I've been kicking around the tech world for over 14 years now. My journey has taken me through building massive-scale e-commerce platforms, leading engineering teams as Engineering Manager at places like Shopify, and architecting systems for the fast-paced ride-hailing industry. I've had the chance to lead, to found, and to get my hands dirty building products from the ground up.

Lately, I’m the Tech Lead at a B2B AI startup analyzing hundreds of thousands of calls helping companies make better decisions, where I'm deep in the trenches building practical AI solutions and intelligent systems. It’s been an incredible experience to be at the forefront of what I believe is the most significant technological shift since the internet itself.

This journey has sparked a new passion: helping other developers make sense of this AI revolution. I’ve found a groove chronicling the story of generative AI on my YouTube channel and Substack newsletter. No fluff, just my honest perspective on what it all means for those of us trying to build careers and navigate this weird, exciting new world.

When I'm not deep in AI-land, I'm usually working on a new course or exploring the next big idea in my product kitchen. I started my journey in Egypt and have been fortunate to work with teams and build products for people all over the world. It's been a wild ride, and I feel like we're all just getting started.
